Wilderness First Aid Awareness
- Group size: 20
- Instructor: Wilderness Medicine Instructor
This 1 hour workshop is designed to address common medical issues one might encounter in the back country! Avoidance and prevention will be emphasized, but when bad things happen we will present solutions to those issues that are commonly encountered. Medical and Traumatic emergencies will be reviewed and we will try and answer the big questions, such as, when does someone need to be evacuated? How do we treat snake bites? How do we stop bleeding? What do I need to have in my first aid kit? To just name a few to be presented this evening. This program is presented by Roane State Community College's Wilderness Medicine instructor with over 25 years of experience in teaching wilderness medicine!
