Wilderness Medicine Workshop: Managing Blisters & Cuts
- Group size: 8
- Instructor: REI Specialist
Blisters and cuts happen all too frequently in the backcountry. Knowing how to properly treat them is a must for all outdoor adventurers. In this hands-on workshop, you'll practice the best blister care techniques and learn how to manage lacerations and abrasions. The next time you find yourself with a situation on your hands, you'll be ready to take action! Participants should wear shoes with laces. If you want to learn about additional first aid topics in-depth, check out a two-day Wilderness First Aid class facilitated by our partners at NOLS.
Be sure to register for BOTH our 10:30 am class (Blisters & Cuts) AND our 2 pm class (Breaks and Strains) to get the most out of today! This is part of an ongoing series of presentations and workshops geared in part to help anyone planning a through-hike in 2020 - whether it be the AT, the PCT, the CDT, or El Camino de Santiago.
