Mississippi River Kayak Tour - Minneapolis 'City of Lakes' Skyline

Join us for a paddling tour in America's only water-based National Park! We'll kayak a short portion of the protected 72-mile stretch of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area downstream of the Coon Rapids Dam as it winds into Northeast Minneapolis. Delight in flora and fauna along the river banks, including an active heron rookery, and discover artifacts of the City's industrial past before taking in the impressive skyline view! Afterward, enjoy a stroll through the park or check out nearby studios, shops and craft breweries. The total distance of this tour is approximately 9 miles. Please bring your own lunch - we'll stop to eat along the way. Metered parking at meeting location accepts credit or cash. Paddling experience recommended.
