The Camino Experience: American Pilgrims on the Camino
- Group size: 40
- Instructor: APoC
The American Pilgrims on the Camino Chapter discusses new topics every month including such topics as: Camino 101, volunteering on the Camino, the Portuguese Way, and other great Camino experiences. The local chapter focuses on keeping its members connected to the Camino and introducing new people to the phenomenon. This is accomplished by hosting social events, walks, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a local host for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims. Check the notes below for this month's presentation content.
THIS MONTH'S SESSION: Bill and his daughter Wesley recently returned from an REI Adventure that took them from Bilbao to Finisterre, Spain across parts of the Camino del Norte, the Camino Primativo and the Camino Frances into Santiago de Compostela. Bill, a retired photographer, will be sharing images from the trip that will take you back there with him and his daughter as they hiked across Spain with 10 other "peregrinos" and 2 REI guides on a trip not soon forgotten.
