Snowshoeing is the wintertime equivalent to summer hiking-or is it? Heading out on your favorite trail with snowshoes on your feet may seem like a good idea, but the conditions may not warrant safe travel. If you've ever sat in an avalanche class and thought to yourself, "that's not me" as a skier tackles a 40 degree slope whilst triggering a slide - this class is for you. Taught by NWAC avalanche experts.

  • Learn elements of avalanche risk, how to assess weather and terrain considerations
