Recognition of avalanche danger is an essential and potentially lifesaving skill for snowshoers and other winter recreationalists. This class introduces and explains where and why avalanches occur and provide a basic approach to managing risk. Learn to access local avalanche bulletins and weather reports, recognize basics signs of avalanche danger, and learn simple ways to help avoid avalanche danger.
