The weekend will feature hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and more at Patuxent River Park in the eastern part of Prince George's County, just outside of Washington, D.C. Fee is $20 for adults and kids 12 and older, and FREE for kids under 12. The park is in the Jug Bay Natural Area - though it's close to the city, you can glimpse ospreys and egrets, ferns and wildflowers, and learn about the endangered tidal hardwood swamps. The campout is for beginner and more experienced campers alike. REI Camp Hosts will welcome you and answer any questions you have to help you get your campsite up and running. REI Guides will offer mountain biking lessons and paddle tours during the weekend; or you can go on a hike or run with leaders from Outdoor Afro and Latino Outdoors.
