We'll teach you how to lead belay, protect from a leader fall, manage your rope and rack, clip gear, and plan your route, all from the safety of a mock lead. REI Outdoor School will provide all rock climbing gear. Participants should have knowledge of top-rope anchors, belay on top-rope, and have one year of consistent climbing experience. Additional sport climbing anchors or technique classes serve as an excellent primer for leading sport.
