- Skill level 2: Intermediate

Join REI for a paddle tour of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway! Our 8-mile route will split the Minnesota-Wisconsin border from Osceola to William O'Brien State Park - a small slice of this federally-protected waterway. This corridor provides scenic views and a haven for wildlife. The clean, sparkling river water shelters native mussels, dragonflies and fish. Overhead, eagles, osprey, kingfisher and warblers fly and nest. Instructors cover basic paddling technique, gear and water safety before the tour. Previous paddling experience recommended; participants must be 13 years of age, weigh at least 100 lbs and/or capable of confidently paddling a solo kayak in moving water. Park and meet at William O'Brien State Park boat launch for tour start.
