Join REI Outdoor School as we explore some of our favorite hiking destinations within this beautiful desert landscape. Each month we will visit one of our favorite hiking locales and offer an opportunity for you to join us. CLICK THE "i" NEXT TO FITNESS LEVEL TO DETERMINE IF THIS HIKE IS RIGHT FOR YOU. Join REI to hike Piestewa Peak, working up a sweat and enjoying the reward of fine views from the summit. This challenging hike covers approximately 1,200 feet of elevation gain in 1.2 miles one-way, is composed primarily of large steps, and features exposure that may make some hikers uncomfortable. Not recommended for newer hikers unless your fitness level is very good.

CLOSED TOED SHOES REQUIRED. From E Glendale Ave and AZ 51, take Exit 5 and travel east on E Lincoln Dr for 0.3 miles. Turn left on E Squaw Peak Dr and proceed 1.4 miles to Piestewa Peak Trailhead. Call 520.477.7344 with any questions day of course.
