Introduction to Colorado Backpacking Skills

Getting ready to head out for your first unsupported overnight trip? Not sure what you need to know or do to have a successful backpacking trip? Join REI'S professional instructors on this one day course to hone your skills. During this outing we will discuss the importance of proper planning, equipment selection, and other fundamental backpacking skills. We will provide all demo gear but we encourage participants to bring their own if you want an instructor to evaluate and assist with your gear. This course is designed with beginners in mind! Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating parent or responsible adult.
