In partnership with the Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center, REI presents a free Avalanche Awareness lecture. Topics include: avalanche terrain recognition, the effect weather has on avalanche hazard, the human factor, and basic companion rescue procedures. Sidecountry skiing at Bridger Bowl will also be discussed. Friends of GNFAC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support avalanche awareness and education through a partnership with the GNFAC.
