Shenandoah Winter Hike at Overall Run

  • Fitness level : 3

    Moderate

Winter is here! Time to hit the trail, breathe in some fresh air, and explore Shenandoah National Park in a whole new way. One of our favorite places to explore this time of year, Overall Run climbs steep switchbacks through the Appalachian wilderness as we make our way to Overall Run Falls - one of the tallest waterfalls in the park. Following a steep and challenging trail, we'll gain 2000' of elevation and hike 8 miles at a moderate pace, learning all about the surrounding ecosystem along the way. We'll also share tips for staying comfortable while hiking and offer insight on planning your own hikes any time of year. So grab your day pack, lace up those boots and we'll see you at the trailhead!
