Twice a year during the humpback whale migration, these majestic animals pass through the waters of Monterey Bay. This paddle will take advantage of the relative calm of the early morning to search the seas for this massive species. This 5-8 mile paddle is perfect for those 18 years and older with previous kayaking experience as we'll be traveling through open, sometimes rough waters. Please come prepared to spend several hours travelling over rolling waves without much protection from the swells. We'll bring all the necessary paddling and safety gear and give you a refresher on kayaking basics before getting started. While a whale sighting is not guaranteed, there are many other animal species that live within Monterey Bay that there's no doubt we'll see other larger sea dwelling mammals and shore birds. It's going to be so much fun!
