The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED course will teach you how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED valid for two years.

  • Primary assessment: Students will learn how to check for responsiveness, open patient's airway, scan for bleeding and provide care as needed
  • Choking (conscious and unconscious): Students will be able to show how to care for a conscious choking patient, as well as an unconscious chocking patient
  • CPR (Pediatric and Adult): Students will be able to perform CPR on an infant, child and adult
  • Using an AED: Students will be able to demonstrate the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator
