The Texas Hill Country is a special region full of hidden springs, wildlife sanctuaries, and towering Oak trees. Join REI as we explore some of our favorite hikes along this rolling landscape. REI guides will discuss the area's flora and fauna and share their tips and tricks that will make this hike or your next hiking adventure all that much better. Each trail we visit is one of our favorite places and offers an opportunity for you to experience what makes it so unique.

Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge - Doeskin Ranch

This class takes place at the Doeskin Ranch entrance of the refuge, located on FM 1174 in Bertram. From Austin, take Hwy 183 north to Hwy 29. Take 29 west for 2.4 miles, then take a slight left onto Hwy 1869 in Liberty Hill. Continue for 10 miles, then turn left onto FM 1174 S.
