The Texas Hill Country is a special region full of hidden springs, wildlife sanctuaries, and towering Oak trees. Join REI Outdoor School as we explore some of our favorite hiking spots along this rolling landscape. REI Instructors demonstrate knowledge and experience that will make this tour and even your next hiking adventure all that much better. Each month we will visit one of our favorite places and offer an opportunity for you to join us. Hike locations will be specified in the information provided for the specific day - click on the sessions below to determine the location of upcoming hikes.

Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve

The Wild Basin entrance is directly off of Hwy 360 on the east side of the road. Park anywhere and meet the instructor at the trailhead near the visitors' center at the top of the hill.
