Experience an exclusive kayaking tour of one of the Hill Country's most beautifully stunning natural resources-Spring Lake in San Marcos. Floating on top of the crystal clear waters of the Edwards Aquifer, you will experience the diverse ecosystem of Spring Lake that has continued to captivate its inhabitants for thousands of years. Learning about this sensitive resource and its endangered flora and fauna above and below the water will offer you an opportunity to understand the history of Central Texas and the important role of this very water. All gear and instruction provided by REI Outdoor School, including ka yaks. To prevent species contamination in Spring Lake, please leave all personal boats at home.

This class will take place at Spring Lake in San Marcos, TX. There is a $3 parking fee in the main parking lot - debit/credit cards are accepted. You will receive a reminder email 72 hours before your class

Spring Lake is located off Aquarena Springs Drive in San Marcos. Turn into the property via San Marcos Springs Drive, and park in the first parking lot, next to the ticket booth. There is a $3/day parking fee. Restrooms and water foundations are available. Meet the REI instructor(s) at the ticket booth. Please leave all valuables in your car.
