If you're looking for a real outdoor and underground adventure and are not afraid of getting dirty, then join us for a caving and rappelling experience of a lifetime at Colorado Bend State Park. Take in the beautiful scenery of the park before rappelling from a Hill Country canyon cliff, down into an underground oasis of classic karst formations at Gorman Creek Crevice. Colorado Bend State Park is well-known for the 60-foot tall Gorman Falls waterfall and consists of over 5000 acres, 480 cave formations, and over 35 miles of trail. It is home to a number of wildlife and migratory bird species, as well as the federally endangered Golden Cheek Warbler and Black Capped Vireo. Note: This tour is not suggested for those with an extreme fear of heights or tight spaces. REI will provide all gear needed, as well as transportation from our Downtown REI location. This class is recommended for ages 18 and up. Ages 14 and up must be accompanied by an adult.
