Time to recertify your Wilderness First Responder certification? Review, practice, and stay on top of your skills with this three-day recertification course taught by our partners at NOLS Wilderness Medicine. This scenario-based approach to recertification provides you the opportunity to test your skills against realistic situations. You'll practice and relearn wilderness medicine protocols, review evacuation and decision making guidelines, and receive the latest updates in wilderness medicine. You'll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather, so come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments! You'll start the course with a written exam, so be sure to review the online resources in the link below. Successful course completion earns you a NOLS Adult & Child CPR certification and a NOLS Wilderness First Responder certification. This course may be used to recertify the Wilderness portion of a WEMT certification. All certifications are current for two years. Please verify your eligibility prior to registering by reviewing NOLS recertification policies (www.nols.edu/en/courses/wilderness-medicine/recertify). Note that close physical contact is an inherent part of this course. We want to ensure you are aware of how NOLS is responding to the coronavirus pandemic, so you can make an informed decision about participation. Please review the Student Disclosure and watch the COVID-19 Practices video linked in the course page prior to registering.
