Come join an REI Outdoor School Instructor for a guided night hike at one of the area's best hiking venues! Night hiking is a unique experience that everyone should experience. The sparkling stars and dark woods are a perfect complement to each other. Some hiking experience is recommended for this activity. Allow us to make sure you have the most enjoyable and educational outing possible!

Ipswich River offers 12 miles of trails that invite you to explore the forests, meadows, wetlands, drumlin, and esker. You can also travel down the namesake river, which meanders through the sanctuary, by canoe. Whether exploring by foot or paddle, you will marvel at the diversity of wildlife, especially bird species; the sanctuary is part of the Eastern Essex County Interior Forest Important Bird Area.
