Colorado offers a wide variety of challenges for the mountain bike rider including tight technical turns, switchbacks, and fast corners. If you are eager to improve your trail riding ability, join REI for a day of focused skills instruction and learn the techniques to ride these trail features with confidence! Our professional instructors will provide detailed breakdowns of tight turn and cornering skills along with a progression of drills to help you improve your performance. This session will cover skills such as pedal ratcheting, rock dodge, tight turns, riding switchbacks, and high speed cornering. Bikes and helmets are available for students if needed, but bringing your own well-tuned bike is highly recommended for skills retention. This session is intended for experienced riders with at least one season and/or 20 hours of off-road riding experience.
