Beloved by locals and admired by adventurers nationwide, the Hudson Valley offers pristine wilderness, invigorating hiking and beautiful examples of human history. On this hiking series through the historic Hudson Valley, we'll explore the hills and valleys that make up this well iconic landscape while keeping an eye out for the critters that call this area home. Through each hike in this series, we'll explore different viewpoints, historical sites, and regions of this local treasure. Along the way, we'll share some hiking tips and offer insight into the region's history and ecosystem. This hike is perfect for those with a bit of prior hiking experience, as you'll need to feel comfortable walking on steep and uneven terrain. We love these hikes, and are pretty sure you will too!

More directions and information

There is an 8:45 AM Shortline bus that leaves NYC Port Authority and arrives at the Bear Mountain Inn at 10:15 AM. Bus tix are bought on the 2nd floor and the bus departs on the 4th floor. The return bus leaves the Bear Mountain Inn at 3:19 PM.
