Overview
- Group size 8 people
Head out into the field for a day of hands-on navigation training with our REI GPS instructors. You'll practice pinpointing your location, marking waypoints, plotting courses and creating routes in the outdoors. Learn to transfer information from the GPS to your map and from the map to the GPS. If you own a GPS unit, please bring it to get detailed instruction on its features. We recommend you attend a Map and Compass Basics class, or have a solid understanding of map and compass skills, prior to this outing.

Please note that this location has a daily state park entrance fee. Take I-25 southbound to South Nevada Ave. Take US-85 S/US-87 S/S Nevada Ave to CO-115 S (1.6 mi). Follow CO-115 S to State Park Rd (4.4 mi). Drive to State Park Rd (0.5 mi). After entering the Park, take your first left turn to Limekiln parking lot.
