Join Women of the Woods (WoW) for a ~4-mile hike on a combination of the Mattabesett trail and the Bear Hill Loop Trail. There are several rocky outcrops with nice views and lots of mountain laurel. Hopefully the laurel will be in bloom. This hike has several short steep ups and downs and some rocky sections. The Off the Beaten Path Blog on the Bear Hill Loop will give you a feel for our hike (our route will be similar, but not identical). To keep the groups smaller we are offering an additional hike to Bear Hill on Wed, 6/7. Please wear hiking boots and bring a pack with plenty of water and a snack/lunch. If you like hiking poles, we highly recommend them for areas with steep or loose rocks.
