Finish The Ride was started by Damian Kevitt in the spirit of courage and determination to overcome tragedy despite insurmountable odds, following him losing his leg to a hit-and-run crime. It is a movement, which has been heard around the world, to stop the epidemic of hit and run crimes and make the streets safer for all road users. Finish The Run on Saturday, June 10 includes a 10K/5K run/walk, 1K kids run, and 1K puppy run at Griffith Park. Finish The Ride on Sunday, June 11 includes a 62 mile metric century, 50 mile half century, 35 mile leg burn ride, 20 mile easy ride, and 12 mile fun ride/roll at Griffith Park. Finish The Ride and Finish The Run are by Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) which works to improve the quality of life for bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicles alike by working to reduce injuries and fatalities as a result of traffic collisions.
