@elvis_n_bama Well I’ll be on the East side. Unfortunately the Indian reservation is still closed but fingers crossed they open it up for access from that side. I already paid for hotel and car and flights. I did read the shuttle won’t be running this year so yea gotta wake up truly early for spot. Any suggestions for a trail that could lead to a less than traveled lake to relax for the day, put my hammock up and spend it there.. maybe dip in the water? I don’t mind the cold lol

@hikermor I will be carrying a PLB. What I can find cell service in the mountains on the trails is non-existent so i'll be downloading maps for offline use.
On a personal note, since you are with the NPS, thank you for all you guys do keeping the trails maintained and safe for us!

Yes, I’ve tried reading the GNP Facebook and NPS page. Practically everything just screams don’t go solo lol but I’ll keep reaching out. Thanks!

I’m headed out to Glacier NP at the end of July for a week. But unfortunately I will be solo. I know solo travel isn’t ideal in the park. Just looking for any thoughts on what trails hit. Mostly day hikes but want to hit a night to see the mountain sky. Really any thoughts on how to be safest and/or where to go especially since there probably won’t be many other travelers in the park. Thanks Everyone!

REI is closed and Dicks doesn’t have gas canisters in stock. Anyone know where else around the Hudson Valley in New York may have gas canisters for sale? I should check Walmart but I’m limiting my time at stores to when I definitely know the store has the product I’m looking for.

Thanks!

I'm trying to decide between the REI Trail Hydro 30L pack or the REI Trail 40L. My hikes are mostly long day hikes but i'm looking to dive into overnight camp hikes. Which one would be better or perhaps I should be looking into something larger or different? Thank you
