I was attracted to the wilderness and open spaces as a young child and nurtured in a love of the outdoors through YMCA and Church Camps. At one time or another I have enjoyed trad climbing, X-C skiing, spelunking, and now enjoy day hiking, backpacking, cycling and kayaking. I am a NOLS Graduate (Outdoor Educator's Course) and a Leave No Trace Master Educator. I have taken Wilderness First Aid through both SOLO and the NOLS-Wilderness Medicine Institute but my certification is not current.
