Thank you so much.  This is definitely a great starting point.  I do have a question on the tents.  We are a camping family.  There's 6 of us, so we have a large 8 person tent.  Because we camp so much and travel with it, it is a quality tent (aka expensive).  It was an investment for our family.  for a trip like this do we need high quality tents?  I've had lots of people offer there tents.  Do you think just the average 3 or 4 person tent will suffice?  Thanks again! ... Hello I am the leader of a scouting group for girls ages 9-16.  We are planning on taking a 3 day/ 2 night backpacking trip at St. Croix State Park the second week of October.  There will be from 9-12 girls, 2-4 adults.  My first question is: is there any help I can get with planning this?  Every time I look at checklists I get so overwhelmed trying to figure out how to mold it to our group.  How many tents?
