I am concerned about the synthetic fibers used for hair extensions that are so popular everywhere today on both men and women. When entering through the city sewage system, is the water treatment plant able to capture them and keep them from entering the water supply? What about those that just fall out incidentally; what is the effect to the environment from those? Does anyone know? Information is not available, even on the internet. Perhaps the impact to the environment hasn't been studied.
