Depending on the length of the tear, we recommend using Gear Aid Tenacious Tape patches or Gear Aid Tenacious Tape repair tape. The patches work great if it is a small tear or puncture and the repair tape works great for tears where you need to customize the length and/or shape of the tape. It also comes in a few different colors if you'd like to try to match with your jacket, or it comes in a clear tape as well. The instructions that come with the tape walk you through all the steps to repair your jacket and keep it in service. Personally, I have a couple of jackets that have these patches on them and they have held up really well over the years.
