Backpacking Northern Wisconsin

Just wondering if anybody has done any backpacking in northern wisconsin near Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest?

@Nathan1 Anytime!

1) I was there just over a week ago and the Cross Trail is the only trail that I would avoid (I don't know of any others that are as bad as the Cross Trail). Many of the other trails will have smaller muddy segments, especially after a rain, but they are manageable and nowhere near as bad as the Cross Trail.

2) I don't think it's necessary, especially since the only bear known to frequent the park is the black bear, but I always carry it in bear country just to be on the safe side.

Have you ever done the Ice Age Trail in southern Wisconsin?

No, however I want to as I heard it was a good trail and not far from where I live.
