Union Bay campground in Ontonagon is nice. Great home base for Porcupine Mountains but probably too far west for pictured rocks. We once stayed at Tahquamenon Falls Lower Falls campground and drove from there to pictured rocks. That wasn't bad and spending time at the falls was nice. Union Bay campground has Yurts which are kind of neat, and it has a beach right on the lake/bay.
