Dune skiing, nice! I always thought of going to beartooth basin or something to get a summer fix in because I think I would burn up on a dune.
Early November, started walking up at 9:00 pm in the full moon, waiting till midnight to descend. Climbed up again noonish the next day. I had ruined my bindings with sand, so I ran down the singing dunes, per usual, and filmed my buddy.
Bring a snow disk for lighter fun. Or run!
Oh this is a fun one!
New York: Holiday Valley
Ohio: Boston Mills/Brandywine
Utah: Brighton, Snow Basin, Snowbird, Alta, Powder Mountain
@GregA it's been over 20 years since I've been there. As a high school ski club kid who grew up skiing in Ohio, it was amazing. I don't know what I would think about it all these years later and after skiing in Utah. I'd still say it's worth the trip though 🙂
