Where have you skied?

Ok, screw on the rememberer. List where you have skied by state. Only requirement is that you slid downhill with gear, falling in the parking lot doesnt count.

Washington; Baker (Home hill when I lived out there), Snoqualmie, Stevens,

Oregon; Mt hood, Bachelor (went when there was little snow in OR 1990?, tore my knee open on volcanic rock)

California; Squaw Valley

Vermont; Killington, Pico, Okemo

New York; Peak n Peek, ... Something...

Pennsylvania; Blue Knob (current home hill), Hidden valley, Big Boulder, Jack Frost, Shawnee, Montage, Elk Mountain (starter home hill)

I know I am missing something.. But, have at it

Yeah, pretty much only local small hills so far, but we've got dreams of heading out west once our little is big enough to join.

I don't know about the sliding "downhill" part, but I guess every uphill was followed by a downhill...

Saline Valley Sand Dune, Death Valley NP, CA - Highest dune in North America

Also, 3 regions of the Dolomites in Italy, based out of Moena.

Now answer: How many was I paid money for being at? Not just free tix!

Dune skiing, nice!  I always thought of going to beartooth basin or something to get a summer fix in because I think I would burn up on a dune.

Early November, started walking up at 9:00 pm in the full moon, waiting till midnight to descend. Climbed up again noonish the next day. I had ruined my bindings with sand, so I ran down the singing dunes, per usual, and filmed my buddy.

Bring a snow disk for lighter fun. Or run!

How did you like Holiday Valley? That one is in range (long) for me for a day trip  and I think it would work well for a 2 day midweek break.

@GregA it's been over 20 years since I've been there. As a high school ski club kid who grew up skiing in Ohio, it was amazing. I don't know what I would think about it all these years later and after skiing in Utah. I'd still say it's worth the trip though 🙂

Its all worth the trip. Peak n Peek isnt much of a hill, but its still skiing. Utah is a state I have missed,,, for now.
