What is the difference between the Salomon S-Pro 100 HV and the S-Pro ski boots?

I see 2 salomon boots online. same price, different year. i'm wondering what the difference is?

looking at the descriptions, not clear which one to buy.

Thanks for reaching out! The two boots you mentioned are nearly identical save for a couple of differences:

  • The Salomon S-Pro 100 HV Ski boots are made with a wider last, 102-108mm as opposed to the Salomon S-Pro 100 Ski boots which have a 100-106mm last. HV stands for 'high volume'.
  • The Salomon S-Pro HV also has two PU Sensifit inserts on both sides of the shell in order to make it easier to step into the boot. The S-Pro has the insert only on the external side of the boot.

If you are looking for a ski boot with a little more volume, the S-Pro 100 HV would likely be the better option. If you'd like to speak with a boot fit expert you can always go into your local REI store or set up a virtual outfitting appointment and connect from the comfort of your own home.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!
