Recommendation for winter hiking boots. Must be zero drop. Must be waterproof.

Hello, I am looking for a pair of waterproof boots to be used for winter
hiking and snowshoeing. Women's size 10 (or men's equivalent size). Must
be zero rise/drop. Recommendations?

Altra is one of the only brands we carry that makes exclusively zero-drop shoes and boots. We have a couple of options that may work for you:

• Altra Lone Peak 4 RSM hiking boots. Zero drop and eVent waterproof membrane.
• Altra Tushar hiking boots. Zero drop, eVent membrane, but a bit more rugged, classic hiking boot style.

When considering fit, we recommend thinking about warm socks as these are not insulated boots.

I had bad luck with the Lone Peak RSM.  Both shoes developed holes in the fabric near the big toe within about 150 miles of snow/slush hiking.  They were no longer waterproof, of course, so I returned them.
