While the performance and durability of any piece of gear is highly dependent on the user and environment, based on your description of yourself and the conditions you'll be facing it sounds like these would be a good option for you. I've known several folks who have used Yukon Charlie's snowshoes for years in very cold and rugged conditions with great success. If you take good care of them and store them clean and dry you should enjoy them for many snowshoe trips into the future.
Hopefully this helps, thanks!
