Hi @Gazelrod !
I haven't run Ragnar Tetons Trail, but it looks like an amazing race! The Red Loop of the race gains an amazing 1,942 feet of elevation, which makes it an awesome challenge for all, even if you're well-accustomed to uphill trail runs. I have raced Ragnar Trail Snowmass and So-Cal, which also have 1,500+ feet of elevation gain on the Red Loop, and they were difficult, but so fun. Check out this article for trail running tips to help you tackle elevation efficiently. And make sure you're preparing to camp in cooler weather--it's common to see temperatures in the low-30's in August.
Let us know if you sign-up for the race! Happy trails!
@GazelrodAwesome! Enjoy your training! Can't wait to hear your race report and see some awesome photos of the course and your team!
