I recently spent three days and two nights in the Quebec Run Wild Area near Uniontown. It was my first trip there and I fell in love with the place. There are primitive campsites near water in abundance. I grew up near Pittsburgh in the 70's and cut my outdoor adventure teeth on Chestnut Ridge and Laurel Ridge, but I never heard of Quebec Run until I moved back to the area in 2013. It is located in the southern end of Forbes State Forest on the eastern slope of Chestnut Ridge. There is no need for a camping permit unless the group is ten or more.
