Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club (PA) Work Day - 10/6/19
A great opportunity for a wide variety of skill levels. Take this opportunity to make a difference on the Trail as well as make new friends and connections in your community.
The Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club's Trail Master has selected a section of Trail for October's work day. Rendezvous location in Indiantown Gap, PA will be provided on signup. This work day will tackle areas where a large group can make a difference on a maintainer's section.
This is a regular one-day work trip with SATC. Work includes removing blowdowns, repairing trail erosion or weed control, graffiti removal, shelter cleaning/care as well as large trail tasks, such as building new tread, bridges and major rehab projects. Participants should wear sturdy boots and long pants. Please bring plenty of water, lunch, and snacks in a small knapsack. All tools and work gloves are provided. It's a good idea to bring rain gear, bug repellent, and sun protection. Wear or pack layers, since weather can change quickly.
