My wife and I took took a road trip from Asheville North Carolina to Glacier National Park with our two dogs. Greatest trip of my life! Countless REI products helped us along the way. Looking to do it again and possibly do Banff or Arcadia National Parks. I made a video of our trip- attached. Thank you REI for all your outfitting, advice, and support along the way!
The drive wasn’t so bad as long as you break it up. We did 2 days of travel each way and 7 days in glacier. On the way there we camped on Lake Michigan, just north of Chicago, then in the middle of North Dakota, and our final travel day we camped on the east side of Glacier. On the way home we stopped and camped in Colorado, then Oklahoma, and made it home from there. I would suggest booking all your camping as ahead of schedule as possible because spots sell out everywhere. Have fun!

If you do come back consider also visiting Waterton Lakes NP just across the border from Glacier. Waterton is my favorite NP in Alberta because it's smaller and less crowded than Banff. Great views and great hiking at both.
