Re: Beginner Hike Recommendations

I'm new here! Tell me about some fun places to go for an easy hike/nature walk in and around LA.

Anything in Griffith Park. Also, check out Chantry Flat and Sturtevant Falls. Those are quick and easy and not too far of a drive. You need an Adventure Pass for your car.

If you want a fun, easy one within LA, try Runyon Canyon or the Hollywood Sign. But LA is surrounded with incredible hiking trails, so if you want a little adventure and can drive for 30-60 minutes, try Switzer Falls, which is a great intro to the beauty of the trails in Angeles National Forest.

These all sound like great places to start. Thanks!

Temescal Canyon loop is a good start and some shaded areas and ocean views.
