I like bicycling for utility and recreation, hiking, small-time mountaineering, running, and vigilante trail maintenance. I try very hard to teach high school English for a living and I spend the summers in the North Cascades.

I tend to base myself in the Methow, so most of my favs are withing striking distance of Twisp etc.  I like the Sawtooth range.  When I'm up for a tough day, I like day-tripping Silver Star or Black Peak.  Sometimes I like to go hunting for old neglected trails with a good friend. It's like solving a puzzle.

I also like investigating the many gravel roads around the valley by bicycle.
