Oro Valley AZ, is my home, whereas within a 5 minute drive, it’s possible to immerse oneself in the Sonoran Desert Experience.
If you have the opportunity to visit Oro Valley, AZ, there are enlightening established hiking trails and overnight camping at historic Catalina State Park, at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Catalina State Park is rich in Native American and Frontier Settler history, as well as an abundance of wildlife.
Hydrate often and plan your hikes, to avoid heat related medical emergencies.

@Marc_OV_AZ welcome! I lived in Tucson/Phoenix for several years before moving to Uruguay where I am currently (and where I will be for the next 6 months). It is a beautiful place! Stay safe during the summer!
You are the fortunate one, to be able to immerse yourself in Uruguayan Tango.
Argentina and Uruguay are on our Bucket List, of destination vacations, post Covid-19.
