Getting sand out of gore-tex-lined toebox in Vasque Breeze hiking boots.

I have a grape-size amount of sand trapped in the toebox of my Vasque Breeze 2.0 Womens boots (Wore them on hikes at the Great Sand Dunes NP). I have tried to remove the sand by removing the insole and shaking the boot a lot, but it seems there are still quite a bit of larger grains trapped in the toebox behind the gore-tex liner. Any ideas for solving the issue? If I do cut the gore-tex liner, could I possibly repair it? I can't leave it as-is because unfortunately I've been getting blisters now when I wear these boots since the sand makes the toebox smaller. Thanks for the help!

Air compressor and vacuum maybe?

I would not cut the gore-tex. That would ruin the waterproofing. Perhaps cut the boot from the outside and repair with Aquaseal
