What is the Mah capacity of the battery of this fine headlamp? I have searched the Knog website in vain for this info...
@hikermor Thanks for the question!
We've reached out to the Knog rep to get this info, we'll circle back when we hear back. Thanks!
Thanks for your patience as we tracked down this info! The mAh rating for the battery in the Knog Quokka Headlamp is 500.
Hope this helps!
I was wondering if Knog quokka was Swedish for saxophone.
But while we're at it:
What is the air speed of an unladen European Swallow?
Just joking! I meant African Swallow.
Good night all! Time for the East Coast to go to bed!
Actually the name and the light come from Down Under. And A Quokka is a type of small wallaby, found on some islands and portions of the Australian mainland'
It'a pretty good headlight.
@REI-JohnJ Thank you very much for digging up that info!!
You're welcome! It was a team effort between me, the buyer, and the brand rep. We're happy to help. It's a brand I was unfamiliar with, so it was fun to get to know it a bit. Thanks!
Your timely info allows me to compute that a fairly small capacity power bank (3000 or so Mah) will charge up my phone and this light about two times each. perfectly good for a weekend or three day trip. If I add in a small solar panel, i can keep each going indefinitely for a total weight of about one pound.
