Are binoculars compatible with tripods?

I am sorry. This is totally unrelated, but I want to order the 3S Prostaff 10x42 binoculars by Nikon and would like to know if they can be attached to your Nikon tripods. I will really appreciate your help.

Not an REI employee but..as far as I can tell...Not directly.  You need an adapter like the Nikon Tripod/Monopod Adaptor H (for roof prism binoculars)  which lists the PROSTAFF 3S 8x42/10x42 as a compatible model.

Not that elegant of a solution.

@Charley Thanks for the question!

@OldGuyot is spot on in his recommendation, the NIkon 3S Prostaff 10x42 binoculars do not come with any way to mount them on a tripod. The suggested adapter is the best way to accomplish this. The only binoculars we carry that are tripod adaptable are the Nikon Prostaff 7s 10x42 binoculars. We also carry Celestron Landscout 12-36x60mm Spotting Scope, which comes with it's own tripod.

Hopefully this helps, thanks!
