accessing trail maps on Garmin GPS watch

I have a Garmin Fenix 6X watch that comes preloaded with a USA map.  I see all sorts of stuff, but does anyone know if it has trail maps for hiking in State and National Parks?  How do I access them?

The garmin maps pre-loaded have most trails but not everything. You can add more maps using basecamp on your computer, or you can download .gpx files from AllTrails or other sources and load them to your watch via basecamp or the Garmin Explore app. The explore app you can use more than the basic garmin maps to plan a route but you can’t upload maps to the watch from the app. Basecamp is the best tool but it’s hard to use on the fly. I have a fenix 6 as well and use it in conjunction with my 66i for complicated backpacking trips - but just the watch for day hikes and activity tracking.
