sesamoid fracture - recommendations for sturdy walking shoes? Hoka?

I am currently in a walking boot from rebreaking the sesamoid bone in my foot. I need to purchase a good walking shoe from this point forward. Podiatrist recommended Hoka brand. Any suggestions?

Ouch.  How did you get the break?   Hoka are fine.  I have a lot of experience with Too Athletic shoes, especially the terra venture.  Nice and study, rock plate, but breathable and wide natural toe box.  Hope you heal quickly!  Dr. Bob

Hi @Tinadoll99! Thanks for reaching out, and sorry about the injury. Ouch!

Hoka is a very popular brand with podiatrists, especially as an injury recovery brand. When I got back into running and had a multitude of small overuse injuries that followed, I spent a lot of time walking around in my Hoka Cliftons on the road and the Challenger on some light hikes. I was really grateful for the cushion and support!

Sending healing thoughts!
