Low cut Vasque boots/shoes - alternatives or other brands?

Hi Folks,

I've developed an injury to my left foot which makes it difficult to walk.  However, I can do so pretty well in my Vasque boots, Model #s 7166 (model year 2011) and 7160 (model year 2018).  The key aspects according to my foot doc is to have a stiff outer sole and soft inner sole.

I'm wondering what alternatives Vasque has in low cut boots/shoes....and perhaps other brands.

Sizing:   12M (7166) and 12W (7160).

Thanks,
Karl-Otto

You may want to try on a pair of Merrell Moab 2 Waterproof Hiking Shoes, and see if they meet your requirements. They are my “go to” footwear for hiking, backpacking, and camping.

Marc,

Thanks so much for the suggestion!  I love the Merrill's:  perfect fit.  Again, Thanks, Karl
